Neillsville City Council Tables Fuel Bids

-The Neillsville City Council tabled the fuel bids until their next meeting.During the Public Works portion of the meeting, and then again during the Common Council, the council approved tabling the fuel bids until the next meeting as requested by Neillsville Public Works Director Dave Flynn. For regular unleaded fuels and diesel fuels, the city received three bids of varying amounts from Drescher’s BP, Kwik Trip and Hansen’s IGA. Dave asked the council to table the item until he can look into Hansen’s some more and find out on billing, getting fuel 24 hours, etc.
The council also approved the cost of the Small Business Academy that will be put on by the Connect Communities group. The cost is $1,200 with $1,000 going to the Indianhead Business Development for doing the classes and $200 for advertising. They also approved the hiring of Patrick Fehlman as the city’s new police officer.
