Marshfield Officials Consider New Outdoor Aquatic Center

(WDLB) -Marshfield officials might be spending at least six-million dollars on a new outdoor aquatic center, which may or may not end up in the same location as the existing municipal pool on the city's south side. The Marshfield Common Council heard an update on the project last night, as it charged its pool study committee with recommending 4-to-6 possible locations for a possible new aquatic structure--while finishing its work on recommending what might be built as a replacement for the current Hefko Pool. Whether it's replaced or not, Blake Tyson of Ayres Associates told the Council Hefko Pool is at the end of its useful life.
As for where any new facility might be built, the Council directed its pool study committee to come back with 4-to-6 possible locations, including the site of the current Hefko Pool. The city's pool study committee has been looking at a possible replacement for over a year-and-a-half.
