(WDLB) -Marshfield School District officials are moving ahead with a plan to build new athletic facilities by the Middle and High schools.During a special meeting Monday night, the Board of Education ordered a feasibility study to gauge community support and fundraising possibilities. Board member Amber Kiggens-Leifheit said it’s really the first step in deciding whether the district’s goals for improving outdoor athletic facilities are attainable.
The Marshfield School Board has been working with John Kneer from the Rettler Corporation of Stevens Point, who's been working on a plan to add and improve both indoor and outdoor athletic facilities in the district--including a new multi-use football and track stadium at the high school. The plan is to complete the feasibility study within the next 30 days.
