Neillsville School Board Approves Memorandum of Understanding with Clark County Health Department
Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 -- 11:23 AM
-The Neillsville School Board approved the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Clark County Health Department. This Memorandum is a renewal from 2011 when it was first put in place. The health department needs it for their records and it states that the Neillsville School District would act as a large scale clinic in the event of an emergency. The board also approved the regular and distance learning course handbooks for the next school year and approved an out-of-state field trip for the 7th grade to Festival of Nations in St. Paul.
The board approved the 2017-18 school calendar at their meeting on Monday as well. The calendar was built off of this year’s calendar. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 5th. There was discussion about having the first day on Friday, September 1st, but due to that being right before the Labor Day Holiday, it was pushed back. The final day of school is Tuesday, June 5th. Some other items of note include pushing back the October Parent Teacher Conferences, some changes in the schedule around Easter and some back up in-service days.
