Merrillan Woman Arrested for Shoplifting Appears in Jackson County Court

-A Merrillan woman arrested after a shoplifting incident in Black River Falls appeared in Jackson County Court on Thursday.According to authorities, they were called to the Kwik Trip in Black River Falls for reports of a woman shoplifting. Police arrived and found Amanda Peters in the bathroom. She tried to give authorities a fake name, but they identified her by her tattoos. When authorities searched her they also discovered methamphetamine. She was also wanted for other matters in Jackson and Eau Claire Counties.
Peters has been charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting/obstructing an officer. During her bail/bond hearing on Thursday, her cash bond was adjusted down to $750 with the same conditions as her previous bond.
