Owen-Withee School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Jr/Sr High School Dean of Students Julie Van Ark reported on the surprise incentive day held on December 22nd and the PLC work being done by staff to help students prepare for the myriad of tests they will be taking this winter/spring. All Conference Band/Choir will be held on Saturday, January 21st at Granton and scheduling for the 2017-18 school year will begin later this month. Mrs. Swartz took 5 students to Dorian Festival in Decorah Iowa the 15th and 16th of this month and Mr. Engel took two students to the FFA Half-Time conference on January 13th and 14th.
District Administrator Bob Houts reported that the District has been awarded a $30,000 TEACH grant from the Department of Administration to help with networking upgrades done in the District and he discussed the upcoming WASB Convention in Milwaukee and helped coordinate transportation down and back.
