Water Report at Granton Village Board Meeting

-The Granton City Council heard the Waste Water Report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the Waste Water Report was presented outlining the month’s activities. Also noted was the light for the Welcome to Granton sign was replaced and the bumper on the Waste Water truck was dented when an employee accidently backed into a pole. The repair estimate with labor is $406. The board also reviewed the Constable Report outlining the month’s activities. Also presented was the report outlining the tickets collected for the quarter.
The council also heard the clerk’s report. The clerk advised the 2016 audit has begun. Hawkins has sent a list of items needed for the audit. The January settlement is complete and was presented. There will be a February primary for the State Superintendent. County Treasurer, Kathy Brugger retired January 1st and was replaced by Mary Domanico. Finally, the treasurer’s report was presented. Beginning balance in checking was 423,347.40 and ending balance 436,998.66. Beginning balance in the money market account was 219,626.24 and ending balance (including tax collection) is 383,278.56. There are still some outstanding balances and bills to be paid before the final budget figures.
