PSC Application at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council discussed the PSC application at their meeting last week.The city clerk reported that the city’s auditor has a team that specifically handles full rate applications to the PSC. It will also require participation from the Director of Public Works and Clerk/Treasure. The council approved Clifton Larson complete the PSC rate application for the City at a cost of $5,000 and the PSC has given an approximate cost for the full rate application of approximately $4,025.
It was also reported that when the Village built their Water Plant, the Waterworks Agreement between Owen & Withee was written to ensure that the City would pay 50,000 gallons/day, whether used or not, to Withee for the cost of the Withee’s Water Treatment Plant. The council approved to have their Public Works Director consult with the Village of Withee.
