Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Snowmobile Fire

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a snowmobile fire on Sunday.The department received a call about a snowmobile on fire on the snowmobile trail system east of Neillsville between Owen Avenue and Maple Road around 9:43am on Sunday morning. When they arrived the snowmobile was fully engulfed in flames. According to the owner, the snowmobile began sputtering and when they looked at the engine there were wires smoking. Eventually a small fire did start before engulfing the entire vehicle.
The department was scene for 20 minutes, there were no injuries overall and they received aid from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
