Clark County Department of Social Services Recognizes Families During National Foster Care Month

Monday, May 17th, 2021 -- 11:01 AM

Each May during National Foster Care Month, Clark County Department of Social Services acknowledges the outstanding people who make a difference by serving as foster parents and respite providers for the children and families of Clark County.

They applaud their care, commitment, and willingness to “answer the call,” no matter when it comes. They thank them for all they do to keep children safe, support parents, and help families stay connected.

Without the ongoing efforts of the foster parents, relative caregivers, advocates, social workers, and volunteers, too many children would end up facing life’s challenges all alone.

Clark County Social Services appreciates their dedication, compassion, and willingness to open their heart and home to children in need. They recognize with thanks the Foster Care Program Respite families including Ensign, Halopka, Halm, Petras, and Putnam.

And with deep appreciation and overwhelming thanks, they recognize the following Foster families including Baird, Cleveland, Ensign, Hege, Hineline, Hogan, Kopf, Letvinuck/Johnson-Cole, Martin, Olson, Opelt, Painter, Rosandich/Davis, Schlough, Taylor, Vircks, and Zimmerman.
