Owen-Withee School Board Reviews Strategic Plan

The Owen-Withee School Board reviewed their Strategic Plan at their meeting on Monday.The district’s Strategic Plan, which was created in 2015, was reviewed and discussed to determine priorities for the next year. The board was pleased with the progress that has been made on the facilities portion of the plan and identified continued improvement of facilities as the main area of focus for the next year.
The board also heard an update on the Act 32 Project. The bids for the projects being undertaken in the Act 32 project, complete roof replacement, heating controls and variable speed pumps, have come in under budget. Currently, they have about $412,000 available to do projects that did not make the original priority list. Estimates are being taken for Door/Entryway replacement, A new boiler for the high school, removing a major electrical transmission line from the roof and exterior lighting for the building and parking lots. Once these estimates have been made, the Building and Grounds Committee and board will set the priority list for the projects
