Two WI Lawmakers to Receive "Service to Industry Award by the WI Cranberry Growers Association

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Two Wisconsin lawmakers will be presented with 'Service to Industry Awards' by the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association.The group will be recognizing the legislative efforts of Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Rep. Sean Duffy during its annual winter meeting in Stevens Point next month. WSCGA Director Tom Lochner says over 400 growers are expected to participate in the two-day event, which will also include educational sessions and a trade show.
Meanwhile, board members will also be elected during the annual business session at the meeting. Wisconsin is the leading cranberry producing state in the nation with over 5 million barrels of the tart fruit being harvested this year.
