Marshfield Woman Scammed Out of $75,000 Due to Fake Online Relationship

-A Marshfield woman lost $75,000 after being scammed by a man she had an online relationship with.According to the Marshfield Police Department, the woman began the relationship with the man in November and he promised her marriage, children and a luxurious life. The woman began to wire money to the many which ended up in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the FBI, in the last six months of 2014 Americans lost more than $82 million to online dating fraud. Females suffered 82 percent of the losses; males sustained the remaining 18 percent.
