Unemployment Rate Down Slightly in Clark County

-Unemployment rates went down in most major Wisconsin cities for November, but increased in most counties.The state Department of Workforce Development released the latest figures on Wednesday. They show that unemployment rates decreased or stayed the same in 21 of 32 of the state's largest cities. But they went up in 48 of 72 counties. For Clark County, the rate actually went down from 3.2% in October to 3.1% in November and compared to 3.7% in November of 2015. This ranks Clark County at 64 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
For our neighboring counties, Chippewa is at 3.4%, Eau Claire is at 3%, Jackson is at 3.6%, 4% for Wood, 3.1% for Marathon and 3.6% for Taylor. The statewide unemployment rate in Wisconsin was 4.1 percent in November.
