Owen-Withee School Board Sees Rough Draft of Next School Years' Calendar

-The Owen-Withee School Board saw a rough draft of the next school years’ calendar at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts presented a rough draft of the 2017-18 school year calendar to the board for review. The calendar starts the school year on Tuesday, September 5th the day after Labor Day and ends on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. The calendar will be reviewed by the board and staff input will be gathered before it gets final approval at the January Regular Board meeting.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported on the elementary food drive held just prior to Thanksgiving that gathered over 1400 items that were donated to the local food pantry. Ms. Tranberg and Mrs. Fitzl attended the SLATE Conference, or School Leaders Advancing Technology in Education in Wisconsin Dells. The elementary Christmas Concert was held on Monday, December 12th and the monthly Student Recognition Day will was Thursday, December 22nd.
