Loyal School Board Approves Several Items

-The Loyal School Board approved an out of state field trip at their meeting on Wednesday.The board approved an out of state trip for our Dorian Honors Choir kids, they discussed their attendance at the Medford Legislative Forum and they updated their Strategic Planning, which should be finalized at a meeting on January 11th.
They also had the first reading of a new dress code policy and a new grading policy. The dress code changes mainly relate to yoga pants and flip-flop shoes while the grading policy relates to grades earned in on-line classes. For the school report card, the Loyal School District “met expectations” in all areas except the High School where they “exceeded expectations.” Finally, they discussed taking a picture of the school board at the next meeting for our Facebook page.
