Granton School Board Approves Out of State Field Trip

-The Granton School Board approved an out of state field trip at their meeting on Monday.The Granton Choir will travel to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to attend a show on December 17th, they also approved the resignation of an After School Staff Member and discussion was held on the districts new grading policy, Incentive Program and the ZAP Program, but no action was taken. Also, John Richmond volunteered to serve as a delegate to the Wisconsin School Board Association Delegate Assembly. The Delegate Assembly will coincide with the School Board Association Conference the 18th-20th.
The school board discussed drafting a board resolution opposing the mandated September 1st school start date. Proposed resolution language will be brought to the January board meeting for review. Discussion was held on the school board Open Enrollment Policy. A revised policy will be brought to the January Board Meeting for adoption. Finally, the board heard information on a proposed referendum to fund the swimming pool facilities, but no action taken.
