Greenwood School Board Accepts DPI Mini-Grant

-The Greenwood School Board accepted a DPI mini-grant at their meeting on Monday.The board accepted the DPI mini-grant in the amount of $1000. These funds are targeted for the BLAST Program. A “Thank You” letter will be sent to Tracy Kitzhaber for the monetary memorial gift to the Greenwood Elementary School Library in memory of her mother Melva Hendrickson, on behalf of Bill and Kathy Lockington. The board also approved a list of 5 volunteers and accepted the resignation of Scott Moseley as head middle school football coach.
The board also approved several field trips including Advanced Math/Science trip to Mall of America January 12th, the High School Choir to Dorian Choir Festival at Luther College in Decorah, IA January 15th-17th, the Middle School Band & Choir to Minneapolis for “Wicked” April 22nd and the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Appleton April 2nd-4th. It was also stated that the district audit report has been re-scheduled for the February 13th Board Meeting. The DPI released important financial information later than scheduled as a result auditors were unable to have the final report completed by December 12th.
