Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Grass Fire

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a grass fire Wednesday afternoon.
According to the department, around 1:08pm, they received a call of a grass fire at W6009 County Highway H in the Township of Weston. The owner of the property was burning in an old silo pit when the fire got out into some grass and burned ¼ of an acre.
The department was on scene for 40 minutes, they had no injuries on their part, they required no mutual aid, had some assistance from the Sheriff’s Department, and the Neillsville Ambulance Service was on standby.
