USDA's Latest Agricultural Prices Report

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The October average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.23 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.

This was up 10-cents from the September price, but 34-cents lower than October 2015. Soybeans were at $9.24 per bushel, down 10-cents for the month, but 68-cents above the previous year. The October oat price was $1.68 per bushel, 31-cents higher than September, but 14-cents below October 2015.

And the all hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $97.00 per ton in October, up $17.00 from last month and $5.00 above last year. Alfalfa averaged $117.00 per ton, up $29.00 from September and $15.00 over the previous October. The other hay price averaged $51.00, down $8.00 from the previous month and $6.00 below the previous year.
