A High Volume Traffic Day Today

If you will be returning home from hunting or holiday travel today, you will encounter not only many others but some morning fog as well.If your headed out this morning a dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 AM for all of Northwestern Wisconsin. Remember to turn on your headlights and reduce your speed as conditions dictate. Traffic volumes will increase throughout the day with the peak travel time being between 3 and 6 pm today.
The Wisconsin DOT reports that most highway construction work has concluded for the season, but drivers may still encounter some ongoing road work, lane and speed restrictions associated with larger projects. Motorists are encouraged to use the 511 Travel Information System before their trip to check travel conditions.
