Marshfield City Council Approves 2017 City Budget

(Mike Warren, WDLB) -Marshfield property owners will see a slight tax increase next year.The Marshfield Common Council approved the increase last night, when it approved a 2017 city budget. The 2017 city spending plan totals just over 43-million-790-thousand dollars. Mayor Chris Meyer says taxpayers will cover just over 12-million-600-thousand of that total.
The tax rate for next year will be nine-dollars and 12-cents per one-thousand dollars of assessed property value, a five-cent increase from this year.
