-The Clark County Health Department has completed their Wisconsin Wins checks for 2016.I spoke with Rebecca Rosandick, the Health Educator/Public Health Specialist with Clark County, and she gave the results of the checks.
"In 2016, we just finished all of our checks, so we went from Neillsville all the way up to Abbotsford, Thorp, the whole county. We conducted 38 checks in the county. Of those 38 we had 36 retailers that passed and I would like to go through the list with you. So, we'll start up in Abbotsford. We had the Abbotsford BP and Travel Stop that passed. In Chili, we had Chili Corners. Curtiss, we had Abbyland Truck Stop. Dorchester, the Heartland Cooperative C-Store passed. In Granton, we had R&C Roadhouse, Tommy's Hilltop Tavern, Granton Convenience Store and Roger's Grocery."
"Going on to Greenwood, we had Cenex, Kwik Trip, Family Dollar and Behind Barr's. Loyal, we had Kwik Trip, BP. Merrillan we had Deer View Lodge. And Neillsville's is kinda of a long list. Neillsville we had Hansen's IGA Food Center, the Glass House, Dollar General, both Holiday Station Stores, Drescher's BP, Gordy's Value Spirits, Family Dollar, the Brickyard Bar and Grill, Speakeasy, Low Riders and Kwik Trip. In Owen we had the Creek Side Convenience, Scott and Lori's Family Foods, Dollar General, and OW Sports and Liquor Store. In Thorp we had Express Mart, Thorp Supervalu, Family Dollar and Specialty Smoke Shop. And in Willard we had Arlen's Inn and Ernie's Rock Dam Saloon. So, we would like to thank those retailers for refusing to sell tobacco products to minors."
