Several Items Discussed at Loyal School Board Meeting

-The Loyal School Board discussed several items at their relatively quiet meeting on Wednesday.The board approved the district’s basketball coaches, they heard updates from each strategic planning committee and they discussed forming a health insurance consortium with surrounding schools and they’re in the process of getting bids.
They also discussed the district’s low utility costs. Their cost-saving measures appear to be working well. District Administrator Cale Jackson presented a report from UNESCO showing they have the lowest utility cost of the other member schools in this area. Finally, they approved an out-of-state trip for the choir, discussed upcoming board elections and discussed an upcoming school board convention.
