Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Officer’s Report at their meeting last week.

For the month of October, the Neillsville Police Department had 141 complaints, 75 service calls, 53 traffic citations, 61 traffic warnings, 4 crash investigations, 6 ordinance citations, 14 adult arrests, 5 cases referred to the D.A., 10 juvenile cases and 45 parking citations. Some other notable activity included a battery investigation, an officer being on light duty until December due to an on duty accident and the department’s newest officer beginning work in November.

The council also heard several other committee reports including from the Historic Preservation Commission meeting held on October 20th and November 2nd. They discussed grant application amendments, a request from the CART Center and the 2016 Christmas Tour of Homes. They also heard a report from the Commission on Economic Development meeting held on November 3rd. The commission discussed a bowling tournament and another item was tabled. Finally, the heard a report from the Beautification Committee meeting held on November 9th. They discussed Christmas decorations.
