Human Remains Found After House Fire in Owen Identified

-Police have identified human remains found in a house in Owen after a fire.According to the Owen Police Department, shortly after 3am on Saturday, someone reported a fire at a home on Bjornstad Street in Owen. When the department arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames. The home was severely damaged by the fire.
Human remains were removed from the home after the fire was extinguished. Owen’s Police Chief stated that an early investigation hasn’t found anything suspicious, but it will take months to get the full report. An obituary identified the remains as the owner of the home, 93-year-old Ervin Mohr.
