Minnesota Woman Enters Plea for Sexual Assault in Marathon County Court

-A Minnesota woman charged with sexual assault in Marathon County entered a plea to the charges against her in court on Tuesday.According to court records, the 36-year-old woman from La Crescent, Minnesota befriended a 15-year-old boy who lived near Spencer. The woman met the boy after he and the woman’s daughter became friends. The boy’s mother began to notice he was acting strange around the woman and the boy admitted to his mother that he and the woman had sex on four occasions between May and June.
She pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault of a child. Two other charges were dismissed and read in. Her sentencing has been set for January 17th. She’s also been charged with sexual assault of a child here in Clark County and will have her initial appearance in December.
