Monday, November 7th, 2016 -- 11:48 AM

-The names of the individuals involved in the car vs. motorcycle accident near Neillsville have been released.

On Saturday, November 5th, just before 1pm, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection of USH 10 and Sidney Ave for a traffic crash involving a motorcycle and a car. Initial investigation indicates that the motorcycle, driven by 52-year-old Bruce Halama of Whitehall and his passenger 53-year-old Sharlene Witz of Whitehall, was traveling east on USH 10, while the car, driven by 59-year-old Muriel McMullen of Altoona, was traveling west. McMullen crossed the center line and collided with the motorcycle.

Both Halama and Witz were ejected from the motorcycle and were killed as a result of the injuries. McMullen was transported by Helicopter to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Halama and Witz were not wearing helmets and McMullen will be cited for traveling left of center. At this time the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the crash.
