Friday, November 4th, 2016 -- 11:20 AM

-A Neillsville woman charged with breaking into vehicles at two Neillsville businesses and burglaries in other counties entered a plea in Jackson County Court on Thursday.

Back in February, several vehicle break-ins occurred at two businesses in Neillsville. Jessica Hackett and her boyfriend, Nathanial Clem, were going on a road trip to Lake Superior and thought it would be fun to burglaries vehicles and businesses on their way. She’s facing one charge of theft of moveable property in Jackson County. During her arraignment on Thursday, she stood mute in court and a not guilty plea was entered on her behalf. She’ll be back in court later this month.

Last week, she was sentenced to 2 years’ probation, 200 hours of community service and an imposed and stayed jail sentence of 9 months here in Clark County. In Eau Claire County she was sentenced to 5 years’ probation, 3 years’ extended supervision and an imposed and stayed jail sentence of 2 years.
