The Highground's Opening Reception for New Learning Center Exhibition Tomorrow

-The Highground cordially invites the public to attend our opening reception for our new Learning Center exhibition, “Through the Eyes” tomorrow, Saturday, November 5th, from 1pm-3pm.The reception will be held at The Highround Learning Center. “Through the Eyes” is a collection of photographs, memorabilia, weapons, equipment and other items from Vietnam. The photographs were all taken by John Hosier after he lost six of the 11 men in his recon unit. Hosier captured hundreds of images of all kinds of units performing all kinds of duties during the war and they're on display with captions written by Hosier. Over the years John has collected hundreds of items that now make up this amazing exhibition. And it all came about as finding a way to deal with his PTSD.
Guests will enjoy a VIP experience; John will present some special stories to the guests. There will be a Bob Hope USO / Christmas area set up where quests can make and leave a Christmas ornament on the tree. You will also get to enjoy a sound track they have that has 1300 excerpts from 59-75 music, news and AFVN. They will be serving the “best our men and women got in Vietnam”, homemade C-rations along with Saigon Tea and peaches and pound cake.
