Eau Claire Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase in Jackson County

-An Eau Claire men that was arrested for a high speed chase and drug charges in Jackson County was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Wednesday.Back in August, a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper became involved in a pursuit after initially stopping a vehicle near mile marker 109 westbound in Jackson County for following too closely and unsafe lane deviation. The driver, identified as Devine Spencer from Eau Claire, fled the scene at speeds of 100mph. A Trempealeau County Deputy Sheriff and an Osseo Police Officer were able to successfully deploy tire deflation devices near Osseo. The vehicle slowed and was stopped with a pursuit intervention technique. There were no injuries.
Spencer was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, fleeing/eluding an officer and possession of methamphetamine. Two other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 2 years extended supervision. His license was also revoked for 6 months.
