Memorial Medical Center Leadership Sets Goal to Open a New Medical Center by 2020

-Memorial Medical Center today announced plans to begin the planning process to build a new hospital providing medical, surgical, and outpatient clinic services in Neillsville WI.The anticipated 40-million-dollar center is expected to be completed by the spring of 2020 and will meet the healthcare needs of Clark County residents well into the future. The financing of the project is anticipated to come through the USDA Community Facilities Direct Loan Program.
“We have the opportunity to build a modern healthcare facility in a rural community to further provide access to great care. We will work with our community and employers to identify current and future healthcare needs. Our Vision is to be the provider of choice for high quality healthcare, a modern facility will make this attainable,” commented Ryan Neville, CEO of MMC. The current medical center was built in 1954 and currently is located at 216 Sunset Place.
Located on the current MMC campus is Neillsville Care and Rehab. As a result of this announcement, Grant Thayer, President of Neillsville Care and Rehab stated “It is the intention of Care & Rehab-Neillsville to build a new Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living and Senior Apartments on the new campus as part of this project.”
