-A task force in Clark County is working to get more residents enrolled in Health Insurance. The Clark County Health Department received a grant to help increase the county’s enrollment numbers for health insurance. They partnered with several organizations including Memorial Medical Center, the Clark County UW-Extension Office and others to raise awareness on the high number of people in the county not enrolled in health insurance and to provide seminars and education to residents on why they should receive some kind of coverage. Together they created the Health Insurance Task Force.
The Health Insurance Task Force held seminars at the end of September and throughout October providing information on health insurance. Now, they’re going to be providing seminars in November and January to help people enroll in health insurance. The first one is going to be held in Abbotsford on Wednesday, November 16th in the City Hall Council Room. The 2nd is in Neillsville on Tuesday, November 29th at Memorial Medical Center and the third one is in Neillsville on Tuesday, January 24th at Memorial Medical Center. Those events will be most of the day from 1pm-7pm.
