Owen-Withee School Board Approves Retirement

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved a retirement at their meeting on Monday.The board unanimously approved the retirement of Robert Zaidel after 37 years of service to the district as a custodian. Robert’s last day of work will be Nov. 14. The board wishes to thank Bob for his years of service and commitment to the district. The outcome of a Meet and Greet with the teachers, held on October 12th, regarding non-negotiable issues was discussed. Several topics were discussed and some possible solutions have been identified. The board will address any of these issues they would like over the next few months.
Finally, Rick Eloranta presented Julie Wendler with her Level 3 award from the Wisconsin Association of School Boards. The WASB has a program that recognizes board members to commit to the role as board member by attending meetings and professional development opportunities. There are five levels to the program.
