-Senator Ron Johnson’s campaign reached out to recently and I spoke with the Senator about his re-election this November.Senator Johnson made his final appeal on why voters should vote for him as opposed to his opponent.
"Well, people do need to understand that Senator Feingold served three terms in the United States Senate. He's running for his fourth. If he wins, who knows how long he wants to stay there. I've already quit. This will be my last term. One of the reasons I'm running is because I am chairman of a committee that can really accomplish a lot of really good things for Wisconsin."
"Because I'm chairman, we actually held people accountable for the Tomah VA Healthcare Facility where those tragedies occurred. So, I've got four years left on that chairmanship term. It's an important vehicle for me to really accomplish really good things for the folks of Wisconsin. I'm asking for peoples vote. I'm asking for their support. I'm asking them to help me finish out that four year term and basically my guarantee is that will be it. They can elect somebody new in 2022. I'll do everything I can. I'll work incredibly hard to enhance the economic and national security of not only Wisconsin, but all of America."
Senator Johnson faces off against Russ Feingold on the November 8th election.
