Clark County Economic Development Corporation's 3rd Annual Kick Start Your Career Bus Tour

-Introducing our Clark County youth to the sheer magnitude of careers available to them right here in Clark County was the mission of the Clark County Economic Development Corporation’s Workforce Council Kick Start Your Career 3rd annual Bus Tour.The event, held on October 12th was attended by nearly 140 high school Juniors and Seniors as well as teachers, chaperones and Workforce team members. The tours included Health Care and Emergency Services, with tours of the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen and the Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire and Emergency Services at the Curtiss Fire Hall. Manufacturing tours took place at Cummins Filtration, MEC and OEM all located in Neillsville. Additional manufacturing tours were presented at Meyer Manufacturing, Parrett Windows and Mid-Country Homes in Dorchester.
In addition to the Health Care and Manufacturing tours, many students chose to participate in the Agricultural tour held at the Mitch Lindner Farm of Loyal. Seven school districts from Clark County toured 8 companies and heard from 5 other businesses in 4 different communities.
