Update on Open/Closed Clark County Trail Systems

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 -- 11:16 AM

-The Clark County Forestry and Parks Department has released an updated list of open and closed trail systems in the county due to last week’s flooding.

Several trail systems are open including the Levis/Trow Mound Recreation Area and Trails and County Campgrounds and Boat Landings. All Clark County Forest Roads, except for Butler Lanes, are open to normal vehicle travel, but some sports may be rough. Butler Lanes have sustained significant damage and are currently impassable. Clark County ATV/UTV Trails, Horse Trails and Off-Road Motorcycle Trails are still closed until further notice due to flood damage.

Damage was also sustained to the earthen embankment at Snyder Lake Dam. Snyder Lake has been drawn down to reduce the risk of dam failure and will remain drawn down until the damage is repaired. For more information on the county’s trail systems, please call the Clark County Forestry and Parks Department or check their website.
