Loyal School Board Discusses Strategic Planning

-The Loyal School Board approved a few items at their meeting on Monday.They tabled the removal of the tennis courts until spring, but they approved the contract for a Shared Technology Coordinator and approved Jr. High Track as a recognized sport. They also approved the purchase of new girls’ basketball uniforms and approved the graduation date for 2017, which will be on May 27th.
They board also heard an update from the Strategic Planning Committee. Multiple committees presented their updates. The most time was spent on a new teacher compensation model that incorporates longevity, professional development and volunteer effort outside normal duties. Nothing was approved yet, but the committee has been doing good work.
