Flood Damage Estimates for Clark County from Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 -- 11:27 AM

-Flood waters continue to recede in Wisconsin. According to the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs, most rivers and streams have crested.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a few light and scattered showers, allowing the affected areas to continue drying out. County assessment teams are surveying damage to public infrastructure and giving preliminary cost estimates to repair that damage. In addition, homeowners and businesses that sustained flooding are encouraged to continue reporting damage to their county emergency management office.

According to the department, Clark County experienced $75,000 in damages to homes and businesses and an additional $804,500 in damages to public infrastructure. The State Emergency Operations Center is at Level 5 with Wisconsin Emergency Management's 24-hour duty officer monitoring the situation.
