Presentations Begin Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting on Thursday with an appointment and a couple presentations.The board approved the appointment of Marcia Hochhalter to Abbotsford TIF District #7. They also heard the 2015 Audit Report for the county from Schenck and the 2015 Annual Report from the Clark County Social Services Department. The first reading of an ordinance amending Clark County Shorelands and Wetlands Zoning Ordinance was approved. This is needs to be done due to new state statutes the State of Wisconsin enacted. The ordinance will be brought back to the next meeting for a second reading.
The board approved several resolutions at the meeting as well. The board approved a resolution authorizing the county’s participation in county conservation program/fish and wildlife project. The state allocates funds to counties on an acreage basis that provide improvement of fish and wildlife habitat. The board also passed a resolution to establish an earlier date for the November Annual Meeting. The board typically holds its annual meeting on the Tuesday after the 2nd Monday of November. However, this year that falls on November 15th, which conflicts with the date the apportionment of county and state taxes are due. The board will now be holding their Annual Meeting on November 9th.
