Unemployment Drops in Most Wisconsin Cities and Counties

-Unemployment dropped in most of Wisconsin’s largest cities and counties for the month of August.Unemployment fell or stayed the same in 28 of the state’s 32 largest cities. Rates also dropped or stayed the same in 66 of the state’s 72 counties. For Clark County, the rate dropped to 3.2% compared to July’s 3.7% and August of 2015’s 3.6%. This ranked the county at 65 of 72 compared to the July rank of 54.
For our neighboring counties, Chippewa had a rate of 3.6%, Eau Claire is at 3.5%, 3.7% for Jackson, 4.7% for Wood, Marathon is at 3.4% and Taylor had a rate of 3.5%.
