Granton City Council Hears Update on Damages Done to Bridge Site
Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 -- 8:03 AM
-The Granton City Council heard an update on the damages done to their bridge site at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the letter sent to Clark County requesting the repairs caused during the bridge construction be completed has gone unanswered. The water leak must be repaired before fall so the village hired Doine Excavating to excavate the site and the village completed the repair. Upon review, it is very apparent the leak was caused when Matteson hit the water main with the bull dozer. Photos of the damage and documentation of the repair are complete. Two sidewalk sections still need to be replaced and the village will get estimates as this will not be repaired until spring. The bills will be collected and forwarded to the county for payment.
Finally, the council heard the patchwork on Main Street by the fire station is complete. The village was able to purchase black top from Neillsville to complete the project and keep costs down.
