Employment Matters at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City council approved some employment matters at their meeting last week.During a Personnel Committee meeting held on September 8th and another held on September 12th, they approved to fill a few positions the city has vacant. At the meeting on the 8th, they approved moving the decision regarding two public works positions to another meeting. They also approved hiring Rita Sternitzky as the Other Part-time Assistant Clerk-Treasurer at $10 an hour with an increase to $10.50 after six months.
During the meeting on the 12th, the committee approved hiring Matthew Thoma to be hired for the Heavy Equipment Operator/Water and Wastewater Maintenance position at $16.50 an hour. The committee also approved hiring John Schoen for the Wastewater Operator/Utilities Maintenance position at $16.50 an hour. All three of these items were then approved by the Common Council on Tuesday of last week.
