Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 -- 9:10 AM
-The Granton City Council heard an update on the MSA Projects at their meeting on Wednesday of last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the council was advised that the projects are just about finished. It was noted that it would be a good idea for the village to install a crash post in the lift station area next to the concrete slab to protect the gas line. The board discussed the landscaping and poor grading done by Steen who was supposed contact MSA before starting the landscaping for instruction/inspection. They will need to redo this properly. The deadline for completion was Thursday, September 15th and cost them $500 per day, for everyday that it is delayed. It was also noted the driveway is much narrower, but due to the property lines, it cannot be widened.
It was also requested the village approve 2 pay applications. The council approved the pay application for Total Electric in the amount of $161,700.00 and approved the pay application for Steen in the amount of $178,333.81.
