Neillsville Woman Killed in Taylor County Accident

-A Neillsville woman was killed in an accident in Taylor County Sunday morning.According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, they were notified of an accident on State Highway 73, just north of County Highway V in the Town of McKinley. An initial investigation indicated that a 2001 BMW SUV was traveling south on 73 when it entered the west ditch, hit an embankment and went airborne. There were two occupants of the vehicle, 28-year-old John Cihler of Neillsville and 27-year-old Sarah Scollay of Neillsville. Cihler was wearing a seatbelt, but Scollay was not and she was ejected from the vehicle.
Scollay was transported to a Wausau hospital where she was pronounced dead. After Cihler was taken to a hospital in Medford, he was booked, and released, from the Taylor County Jail on a charge of operating after suspension causing death. An investigation into the crash continues.
