Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Todd Felhofer stated they had an excellent start to the school year. Open Houses were well attended and the custodial staff had the buildings looking great. The teachers and support staff also had classrooms, LMCs, and offices ready to go for students and parents. He also stated that initial enrollment is 392, which is up 10 students from this time last year. The district has also received notice that they’ve met all requirements for Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Mr. Felhofer also stated that on September 2nd he met with 68th Assembly District candidate Howard White to discuss important issues and concerns facing rural school districts and he gave a reminder to begin reading the 6000’s and 7000’s in draft policy manual. Those are in regard to Finances and Property and the first review will be at the October 10th meeting. Finally, he said the Annual Meeting is Monday September 26th at 7:30 pm in the HS Cafetorium. High School Principal Todd Fischer provided an update on the on-going work with the math curriculum, professional development-PLC Book study, and teacher in-service. Board member Mark Shain provided a recap from the CESA 10 Board meeting.
