Presentation Starts Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard a presentation to start their meeting on Monday.Mrs. Mary Meyer and some science students did a presentation regarding their science activities. Justin Wundrow presented on his second semester of the 2015-16 school year at the Conserve School in Land O’ Lakes. Justin spent the semester studying the environment and ecology with teachers and students from around the country. Justin got to have many experiences in the outdoors and nature as part of his semester. Clancy Jo Albers, Morgan Hanson and Kate Schmelzer presented on their experience last summer at Science Camp on the University of Madison Campus. They spent four days working with experts in biology fields studying stem cells, embryos, and tissue engineering.
The board also discussed a meet and greet with teachers. The board has created a committee consisting of Rick Eloranta, Angela Greschner and Charlie Milliren to meet with a group of teachers to discuss some concerns and issues. A date will be decided on by the committee and shared with the teachers’ group.
