Neillsville City Council Accepts Donations

-The Neillsville City Council approved several donations at their meeting Tuesday evening.The council approved two donations from Gross Motors. One was for $250 for recreation uniforms and the other was for $750 for Cliffs Park. They also approved a $1,000 donation from the Listeman Foundation for Christmas Decorations. The council also accepted a Wisconsin Department of Transportation Grant for Municipal Street Improvement. The Director of Public Works required this grant giving the city $14,254.20 for street construction.
The council also approved a request from the Neillsville Cross Country Team to use the Listeman Arboretum as a haunted forest on October 22nd and 29th. They will use the loop near the hospital as a fundraiser for their team. They council also approved the Optimist Club to use the Gazebo on Halloween. The club will be handing out some orange, Halloween cinch bags for kids to use for their candy. They’ll be doing that during regular trick-or-treating hours which is from 5:30pm-7:30pm for Neillsville on Halloween.
