5 Traffic Deaths In State Over Labor Day Weekend

Preliminary data show five people lost their lives in Labor Day weekend traffic crashes in Wisconsin.That compares to an average of eight traffic deaths that occurred in Wisconsin during the holiday period (6 p.m. Friday to midnight on Labor Day) over the last five years. Wisconsin State Patrol troopers and inspectors including the Air Support Unit were out enforcing traffic laws and assisting stranded motorists.
In addition, state and local police agencies joined in the annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
