Man Arrested in Jackson County for Possession Sentenced

-A man arrested in December of last year and charged with possession was sentenced on Wednesday in Jackson County Court.Back in December, the Black River Falls Police Department arrested two men connected with an incident at a Holiday gas station. Authorities received reports of two men displaying a handgun inside a vehicle at the gas pumps of the Holiday station. Officers arrived to try and speak with the men, but they fled the scene and a pursuit occurred on Highway 27.
After several pursuits, authorities were able to arrest Peter Bennet and Kyle Field the next day. Bennett pleaded no contest, and was found guilty of, fleeing an officer and a convicted felon possessing a fire arm. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years' probation. Field had the charges against him dropped back in June.
